Hormel Gathering Dips Review – An Easy Entertaining Idea

Last weekend we headed over to a last minute get together at the home of our good friends with anther family. We get together a lot. We’re not formal. We like to have fun, chat, eat and have a glass (or two) of wine. I said I would bring an appetizer.

With the last minute decision to go over, I didn’t have time to stop to make  something . What I did have was two containers of Hormel’s latest product – Gathering Dips. As a member of the Hormel Extended Family Blogger program, I’m provided with lots of tasty Hormel products each month. The dips were in my February box.

A quick look in my fridge and I found some veggies and I asked another friend to bring the chips. When we arrived, I placed the veggies in the black grocery tray that the asparagus were packed in and opened the bag of chips. Yes, we are THAT informal.

I heated up the two dips – CHILI CHEESE DIP and BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP and set them next to our crudité and chips. We began munching down on both. The CHILI CHEESE DIP was the favorite of the two, although a bit spicy. The BUFFALO CHICKEN DIP was okay, but making it fresh  – like I did last year is better (see my Hormel Buffalo Chicken Dip recipe.)

All in all, these two dips are an ideal solution for quick last minute entertaining. They are tasty and go with either chips or veggies. You’ll find them in the refrigerated section of your grocer.  Let me know what you think.

This post was done as part of my participation in the Hormel Family Extended Family program. Product samples were provided. All opinions are my own.
