Baked Potato Bar for Dinner
Baked Potato Bar
I love easy dinners. Who doesn’t? Add to that that, I love options. I love being able to pick what I want – yes I love salad bars. At home, we have found a Baked Potato Bar to be a crowd-pleaser. We all love potatoes and we all love (most) of the toppings that I set out. Have you ever had a Baked Potato Bar?
Baked Potato Bar Toppings
There isn’t much that doesn’t taste great on top of a baked potato. Our favorites include:
- sour cream
- shredded cheese
- bacon bits
- chives
- beans
- salsa
- butter
- taco meat (Perfect way to use taco meat leftovers.)
With a Baked Potato Bar everyone gets a chance to create their meal exactly how they wish.
Baked Potato Bar & Leftovers
We often have leftovers laying around. It could be leftover taco meat, rotisserie chicken, spaghetti, pork…you name it, there is usually at least a little of whatever we had the night before sitting in the fridge. On Baked Potato Bar nights I pull out the leftovers and heat them up. Someone will gladly pour last night’s dinner on top of their tater. Sure beats tossing the leftovers in the trash!
Baked Potato Bar Tools
Their are two ways to go on Baked Potato Bar nights – casual or a tiny bit more “formal.” Casual nights means the tub of sour cream, package of shredded cheese, jar of bacon bits and more are sitting right on our dining room table with spoons. We serve right out of the containers.
Other nights, I’ll put the topping in little bowls or use our Lazy Susan Tortilla Plate. It’s one of the best, most used gifts I have ever received. There are several on Amazon. Click here for my favorite.
