Tis the time of year for backyard barbecues and vegetable gardens. This Easy BLT Dip recipe is a perfect addition to your next summertime hangout. It’s a simple recipe, that’s delicious! It’s also a great use of the fresh tomatoes from your vegetable garden! Plus, for all you bacon lovers out there, it’s got bacon! You have 3 options on how you can include the bacon. 

Hormel Real Bacon Bits – This is how it was origanlly recommened to me by my neighbor who gave me the recipe. These glss jarred bacon bits are the real things. Do no use “fake bacon” bits.

Hormel Fully Cooked Bacon – The hard work has been done for you with this bacon. All you need to do is put it in the microwave for a few seconds and the bacon crisps up a bit more.

Traditional Bacon – If you have the time and desire to cook/fry up your own bacon from scratch, you could do that. I don’t always have the time.

Easy BLT Dip Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Mayo (fat free, light or regular)

1 cup sour cream  (fat free, light or regular)

1/2 cup of chopped bacon (your choice)

1 cup of chopped tomatoes (be sure the tomato chunks are small enough for someone to eat off a chip)

Directions

Mix all ingredients.

Chill for at least 30 minutes.

Stir & serve with chips or veggies.
