Celebrating Soccer with the Familia

Ever since I was a little girl I was fascinated with soccer as I played on my town’s recreation league. As a mom I now see that same passion with my children. My oldest daughter, Isabella, now 7 1/2, is a bit of a soccer star. She’s quite athletic and soccer is her sport. She gets real into it, as does the rest of her awesome Purple Power team! My youngest, Cecilia, is following right in her sister’s footsteps – asking her Godmother for a soccer ball for her birthday this year.
2014 is the year of the big soccer game and boy are we into it. With her growing interest and understanding of the game, Isabella wants to know everything there is to know about the biggest soccer tournament. She has the sticker book, a few reading books and most importantly a family who loves the sport with her.
Events like the one this summer draw up tremendous national pride. We root together for our home team or even a European country, since my daughter thinks we should since her cousins live there. Whatever the team, whatever the country, we hoot and holler and have a great time.

We’re getting together as a family to watch the game
While I am not a fan of the game, I am sure I will catch a glimpse of it while it is airing. I have seen many places here in Japan advertising view parties and meal/drink specials. This is a great giveaway!!
We will play soccer in the park
family is going to enjoy Mexico play, we will be having some fun times with friends and more family here and there…maybe bbq’s on sundays too..
I don’t really watch Soccer much, but I’ll root for USA!!
My family and I celebrated with a meeting and prepare a meal we get our team t-shirt and you celebrate!!
My husband is really into sports, so we will be watching together and probably have people over.
We’re actually celebrating the World Cup with lots of food and music. We also wear the team jerseys and paint our face with the team colors. For the kids, we buy cupcakes and balls.
