Our Visit to Waldorf Astoria Orlando
Staying at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando is a Smart Mama choice for families visiting the Disney theme parks or wanting to just escape to a beautiful resort in Central Florida. Our family of four was invited to stay at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando and enjoyed so many of its amenities.
Before I go into why we love the this luxury resort, I want to mention why we more often that not, opt to stay at a non-Disney owned resort when we visit the parks. It’s all about the points. The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is part of Hilton HHonors. You can spend and earn points with every stay. That is a Smart Mama way to save and spend money on family travel. Advantages of Staying at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando
- The Beauty – The Waldorf Orlando is stunning. The moment you walk in you are greeted with a large clock that centers the lobby. It is elegant. The rooms are spacious. We stayed in a suite with a view of the pool and parks in the distance. Yes, you can see fireworks from your balcony.
- Hilton Bonnet Creek – The sister hotel is right next door. Guest of either hotel are welcome to enjoy the ammenities of each. The lazy river and slide at the Hilton is loved by the kids and adults. You’ll want to find some time in your stay to grab a complimentary tube and float down the river.
- Service – Many of the hotels & resorts in the Orlando area know the importance of customer service, especially since they are up against Disney who has it down pat. The Waldorf Orlando provides well above par service. In our visit we noticed staff be warm with guests and provide help as needed.
- Location – The Waldorf Orlando is within the Disney grounds but note that it is NOT a Disney hotel. The location is perfect as the complimentary bus shuttle is a short ride to the parks. The hotel does not give ticket holders access to early or late park hours.
Booking a Room at the Waldorf Orlando
We have stayed at both the Hilton Bonnet Creek and the Walter Astoria Orlando collectively more than 4 times. While each has its perks, the Waldorf is smaller in size which is a plus for those wanting a quieter more intimate vacation. Pick the resort that is best for your family and know you can enjoy the ammenities of the other regardless! Head over to TripAdvisor to get more in-depth reviews.
