Smarty Pants Product of the Week – Physical Science DVD by Rock ‘N Learn
I enjoyed this DVD, alongside my husband (former student of mechanical engineering). He certifies that the information was accurate, and I certify that it was entertaining. On top of that, as a former elementary school teacher, I truly certify that it is a DVD that is well worth the time of your student.
Rock ‘N Learn also provides super supplemental activities (tests & posters) to compliment the DVD! Check them out! http://www.markthepencil/

If I were asked to help with physical sciences homework, I’d dial 911. Though I had a good education, somehow I managed to duck most science courses. “Rusty” doesn’t begin to describe it; the Tin Man would dance rings around me in science.
Great giveaway. Thanks!
I follow you on twitter and tweeted you here:

When my memory is not enough I “google”. Our kids are so lucky to have 24/7 access to information. We are a homeschool family and I would love to win this dvd for my kids!
I homeschool, so I have to help with science experiments pretty often.
If I was asked to help with physical science homework, first I would see if I DEFINITELY knew the answer (which is unlikely), then I’d ask my husband and/or dad to help. If they were not available, I’d call the teacher to see if she/he could suggest a tutor for my child AND ME!

I’d be up to the task, i’m pretty science inclined.
I would love to help, because I like science. And there are a lot of good books and websites on Physical Science now days.
well it depends, do you want help learning the vocabulary? Other than that I might just say please hold and dial one of the science teachers down the hall. they’re nice

id google it.
If I was asked I’d have to brush up myself so I could be prepared.
Otherwise I’d ask someone smarter to help.

I can’t wait until they get old enough to really get into science and do cool experiments with them.
I’d have to do a lot of research, and I’d still have trouble!
I’d have to google.
I’d start googling! Thanks for the contest.
I always loved science in school and wuld hope that I could help. If not I would get my husband involved. Thanks for the chance to win. [email protected]

I would laugh as that was my worst subject
If I was asked for help with physical science homework, I would fire up the computer. The internet is an awesome resource for those of us not really famaliar with the subject.
I’d look it up on the internet.

I would ask my teacher husband.
yikes i was horrible at science. i would be doing some searches on the internet.
It would depend on the time limitations and the pupil. I could easily get wrapped up in “clearing some cobwebs out of the attic” to re-familiarize myself with the subject matter… or I could just defer to my wife – she may not have a clue about the specified topic but she will gladly offer her full expertise on something (and I don’t mean that in a negative manner) 🙂

I’m pretty good at science. But if I don’t remember I will google it 🙂

I would get a headache!

My husband is the “default” go-to-guy for techie questions of ANY kind. I usually remember the answers, but that minimal ‘prompting’ required doesn’t inspire confidence in anyone involved.
If anything, I have to remember not to paint too broad a picture — if our teenager asks a simple question and gets a half-hour long answer, he goes away looking more confused than when he started.
years ago, I would have went to library. Today we would do a google search for ideas
added you to my google reader
