Royal Caribbean Vision of the Sea Review, Revitalization Updates

It was a media event with a date night thrown in! Our one-night trip aboard the newly revitalized Vision of the Seas brought about great fun, fantastic food and impressive note taking. This Vision of the Seas review provides my unbiased insights.

Vision of the Seas

As media guests of Royal Caribbean, we were provided with a Junior Suite with Balcony. The room was 243 sq. ft. big. A bit bigger than the room we had on the Carnival Breeze last year.  The room on the Vision of the Seas was bigger by dimensions just a tiny bit and it really felt far bigger. (Yes, this time we didn’t have the kids with us, but played around with how and where the kids would sleep and their stuff would go.

Many of the rooms aboard the Vision of the Seas are equipped with bathtubs. This is a great benefit for traveling families. Although grandma and grandpa don’t care to climb in and out of a tub on a rocking ship, a bathtub makes bath time far easier for many moms when traveling with younger ones.

The ship has its acclaimed Adventure Ocean® Youth Program and Royal Babies® and Royal Tots® programs to give parents the break they need and kids the fun the want.  Our favorite thing we learned during the media preview is that these programs are available for children as young as 6 months.

Adventure Youth

Dinner was outstanding, as we dined at the Chops Grille – The Vision of the Seas specialty steakhouse restaurant. Had the kids been with us, we would certainly have them enjoy the fun of the kid programs and had a “date night” during our trip.

This ship has 4 specialty restaurants. Each restaurant has an additional charge. In our experience in cruising we have found specialty restaurants are well worth the extra money. You will receive superb cuisine and service for a fraction of what it would cost on land.Speciality Dining

Although this Vision of the Seas review trip was not an actual family vacation (kids were home with Nana) it provided insight on how this ship may be a great spot for a future family vacation. The Vision of the Seas reviewI hope to soon sail as a family on a Royal Caribbean ship and share my experiences.
