With summer in full swing, and excessive heat pounding much of the country, tank tops, tube tops and spaghetti straps are a necessity for moms. I have about 1/2 a dozen different tank tops in my closet. Before heading out the door with a favorite tank top, I do a quick glance in the mirror for the armpit check. I dread to find any of the three underarm no-no’s!

  1. Stubble – The oh, I thought I had shaven yesterday thought has raced through my mind many times. Stubble on your armpits is not attractive. Make shaving this area a regular part of your showering during the warm weather months. You don’t want to be that mom who keeps her arms down to her side, keeping the stubble hidden well, when you’re in the bleachers cheering on your kids at the swim meet!Underarm No No's
  2. White Marks – We have all done this. A great black top on, and then you put on your deodorant and viola you have spread the deodorant from your armpit to your cute top.  Look for clear deodorants to keep the white marks afar. If you do end up with deodorant on your top, try using a dryer sheet to wipe it off.
  3. Dark Marks – Many moms experience the brown spot under their armpits. The spots are brought on by shaving or hair removal cream, among other culprits. Deodorants, like the new Dove Clear Tone, have been formulated to treat these brown spots. You don’t want to get the, what’s that under her arms look from anyone. The brown spots need daily treatment, so start now before the spots get worse.

Don’t shy away from sleeveless tops and dresses because of underarm fear! Do the armpit check before stepping out the door and you’ll confidently wave your arms in the air regardless of where you are!

Have you experienced any of these underarm no-no’s? Which do you find the most difficult to remedy?
