Visiting Boston with the Family: Boston Duck Tour from Aquarium

You can begin the Duck Tour at either the Museum of Science or the Aquarium. We were recommended to begin at the Aquarium since it was more centrally located. It allowed us to spend time before and after the tour to walk around nearby, exploring Boston proper. We grabbed a delicious lobster roll and tasty Bloody Marys at Bostonia Public House just down the block on State Street.

Visiting Boston with the Family: Boston Duck Tour Experience

For nearly 90 minutes, we traveled through land and water (hence the name duck tour) with one of the funniest tour guides ever. For tours like this, much relies upon the expertise and humor of the tour guide. We got lucky. During the time we were in the Charles River, passengers were even invited to drive the boat. My girls and I did it. What a blast!

Can you identify what Boston and television landmark we passed by during our Boston Duck Tour?

We learned lots of random knowledge of Boston with the Duck Tour. It was fun. The girls were very entertained and my husband, the historian of the family, got a lot out of it, as well.

SMARTY PANTS MAMA TIP —> Do the Boston Duck Tour at the start of your Boston family vacation. Why? The tour takes you all around the city. During the tour you will notice sites and attractions that you want to see more of during your trip. If you do this tour at the beginning of the family vacation, you will have more time to explore more. Secondly, the Boston Duck Tour provides an extensive coupon book when you purchase tickets at the kiosk. We cringed when we received the book and noticed many discounts to the many attractions we had already visited.
