This cold & flu season has been the pits. Although we did get a flu shot, we have battled a string of something or other since December. It’s been no fun. We are ready to be happy & healthy!

As a busy mom of two, I need to keep the meds on hand. You just never know when the next fever will present itself! I recently headed to my local Walgreens – the suppliers of products to make you happy & healthy – to stock up on some needed ibuprofen for the kids and a can of disinfectant spray to get rid of whatever nonsense the poor kindergartener battled last week. Before heading to Walgreens, I downloaded their app. You know I’m a fan of simple tools that make me a smarter mom. The Walgreens App fits right into that category. What is the Balance® Rewards Program?

An opportunity to make money. Yes, you buy items that have been identified as Balance® Rewards and you earn points. Those points are converted into Walgreens dollars – ready for you to spend on your next visit! With my trip this week I earned 1000 points. Every 5000 points is $5! When I returned from my trip I was ecstatic to share about the program with my mom – a money saving queen. She smiled and pulled this out of her wallet.

How many prescriptions have you filled this season? We’ve had three! I was impressed to see the great offer Walgreens is offering their customers in Express Script (ESI) who transfer prescriptions a $25 Walgreens Gift Card instantly – that’s for every prescription that’s transferred.
