Mad Libs. Yes I can play it! Can you?

Mad Libs. Yes I can play it! Can you?

Mad Libs is a childhood favorite.  Honestly, it’s an adult one too!  Mad Libs asks the player to suggest words to fill in the blanks of a passage.  You’re told whether a noun, adjective, verb…must be used and you are clueless as to the topic of the passage.  The words fill in the blanks and often make the passage hysterical when read at the end.  It’s a ton of fun.  I’ve played it many times as a teacher with my students, on my own and even with my husband!  When’s the last time you played?

IsThisReallyMyLife.com Mad Lib Monday Feature

I was recently invited by Emily (@emihill), founder and editor of IsThisReallyMyLife.com, to play a round of Mad Libs.  I was sent a list of words to provide.  I had a blast coming up different nouns, adjectives and verbs.  This week she published my passage and it came out great!  Apparently I have some pretty interesting New Year’s Resolutions according to the Mad Lib!  Check it out:  http://www.isthisreallymylife.com/2011/10/mad-libs-monday-new-years-resolutions-by-caroline-from-smarty-pants-mama/

While you’re there, learn more about me!  Emily asked me some great questions, such as “What’s my go-to “drug” of choice?”   Is it yours too?

Thank you Emily for including me in this fun, creative and smart feature!

  1. Never heard of Mad Libs, but sounds like you would get hilarious sentences. It reminds me of a game I used to play when I was a child. You say three words and then the next person continues the sentence by saying three words, etc. You will get really funny sentences. xD

  2. I will become a teacher someday too.. And this is a good game to play with my future class.. Thanks for sharing..
