Stop the Madness! Germs & Bacteria on Your Fingers is Making a Mess of Your Kitchen

Germs and bacteria on your fingers leave traces everywhere in your kitchen. Think of it as the dirty foot(hand)print that gets left behind. You cut the chicken breast on the cutting board and you immediately go to the sink to wash your hands. You dispense soap by pumping or squeezing it onto your hands. Now the poultry bacteria is on the soap dispenser, which you may or may not remember to wipe down after.

Lysol – a brand that we have trusted for many years to leave our spaces germ-free has created a new device that is perfect for busy, Smart Mamas who know that kitchen cleanliness is very important to keep the family healthy. The new Lysol No-Touch Kitchen System is designed to help mom and the rest of the family keep the entire kitchen clean, from the plates to the counters to the very hands that we want clean and soft. I set up the system in under 30 seconds.  At the same time I removed the 2 soap dispensers – dish soap and hand soap- that had clogged my kitchen counter space.

This battery operated (3 AA batteries) system relies on motion detection technology to dispense the soap – similar to what we see if many public restrooms. The right amount of soup dispenses and you are ready to do what you need to do. I was very pleased to see that the soap solution is strong enough for those stubborn stains but is gentle enough to wash and properly sanitize our dirty hands.

You can find this new Smart Mama product at Wal-Mart and soon in more retailers.  They retail for $9.99 a system.

I encourage you to take the Kitchen System Undercover Challenge. This interactive game will test your detective skills as you discover the benefits of having less cleaning products in the kitchen. I did, and must say I scored fairly well. I missed one spot of bacteria! How about you?

Everyone who meets eligibility requirements (18+ and US resident) will be given the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a grand prize kitchen upgrade! Yep, don’t think you need much more of an incentive than that!
