Piece of the Week – Wipes Box

The wipes box….what to do with it when it’s empty?

One recent way to reuse the box, is to use it as a container for the munchkin’s playing cards. My daughter has a few different packs of flash cards…Pooh Cards…as she calls them. After many failed attempts of showing her how to put the cards back in the flimsy holder, I realized that the sturdy wipes box would work perfectly.
How do you reuse a wipes box?

Piece of the Week provides SmartyPantsMama.com readers ideas on how to renew, reuse or recycle.

  1. We like to use them for art supplies. They seem to be the perfect size for our 2 year old’s chubby crayons or our 4 1/2 year olds rubber stamps and stamp pads. Of course the best way to reuse the box is to refill them with other packages of wipes. We actually don’t have too many of the plastic boxes because we bought the big jumbo packs of wipes from Costco and always throw them in the empty wipes box when our kids were using diapers!

  2. Oooo…I *like* that idea! How clever are YOU!? LOL

We used old wipes boxes for a treasure chest craft for Flicka’s 4th b-day party. Pre-painted them gold and the girls decorated them to take their goodies home.
