Carnival Freedom for Adventurous FUN

Carnival Freedom

Yes, cruising is all about family time together.  On our most recent Carnival cruise we sailed for 8 nights on the Carnival Freedom. My girls were ecstatic. Who doesn't want to go away for 8 days and visit the ports of Grand Turk, La Romana, Curaco and Aruba? Best off is that our entire family would have a fun-filled vacation - regardless if you were the youngest - my 3 year old, or the oldest - me 30-something. Cruising Chronicles: The Murphy Family I spent some time on that ... [ Read More ]

Royal Caribbean Vision of the Sea Review, Revitalization Updates

Vision of the Seas

It was a media event with a date night thrown in! Our one-night trip aboard the newly revitalized Vision of the Seas brought about great fun, fantastic food and impressive note taking. This Vision of the Seas review provides my unbiased insights. As media guests of Royal Caribbean, we were provided with a Junior Suite with Balcony. The room was 243 sq. ft. big. A bit bigger than the room we had on the Carnival Breeze last year.  The room on the Vision of the Seas was bigger by dimensions ... [ Read More ]

Great Vacation Guarantee Entices Cruisers

vacation guarantee

Last December we enjoyed 8 wonderful nights aboard the Carnival Breeze. You've read my experiences, you've seen my videos aboard the Carnival Breeze and know how I feel about cruising with the family. To be honest, cruising with the family is a big deal. You're bringing the kids and maybe even the grandparents, on a trip where anything could go askew. Cruising has gotten a bad rap in the recent years for a number of reasons. It's understandable why you might be hesitant. But ... [ Read More ]

Room Service When Cruising with Kids

Cruising Tips

Cruising with Kids Tip: Order room service breakfast to arrive just as the kids are waking up. It's free & keeps the kids occupied! It might have been the best advice given to me before we set sail aboard the Carnival Breeze last December. Each night I filled out the breakfast room service door hang and left it on our door knob. Between 7-7:30 AM the next morning, a knock on the door would present breakfast items for the kids and hot coffee for me. It was perfect. As the kids were waking up ... [ Read More ]

Initial Carnival Breeze Memories

#CarnivalBreeze Waiters

For 8 glorious nights, we sailed the ocean waters aboard the Carnival Breeze. We returned Sunday and not only do I still have sea legs, I really, truly miss the boat! Over the next few weeks, I will share, in great detail, the tremendous aspects of the Carnival Breeze and how cruising works for families. Tonight I will begin with a few of my most missed aspects of our cruise.  You saw my 1st impression and my love of the Serenity Lounge, but that doesn't even start to tell part of the ... Finding Serenity Aboard Carnival Breeze

Serenity Carnival Breeze

Ahhh. Traveling is wonderful. We are loving every minute on the Carnival Breeze, and today I was able to sneak away for an entire hour to chill. I'm lounging in the Serenity Deck of the Carnival Breeze. This adults only area provides a break from the common cruise ship buzz. Comfy lounge chairs, hammocks and pods surround this special spot. It's a great nook when Dad takes over or the kids are at Camp Carnival, giving both Mom & Dad a break. Right now it's just me, a chair and some sunshine. ... [ Read More ]

First Thoughts Aboard the Carnival Breeze

Carnival Breeze

We boarded the Carnival Breeze at Port Miami yesterday, beginning an 8-night cruise throughout the Eastern Caribbean. We will stop at St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau, Bahamas. In these first 24 hours, I have been very impressed, especially with the food, the quality of service and the variety of activities and entertainment. Also, the stateroom we were given is outstanding. Small, as all cruise cabins are, it is very well designed and decorated. I will go in depth on each in later posts ... [ Read More ]

Learning How To Cruise with a Toddler

Carnival Breeze

In just  a few months the 4 of us will embark on a 7 night/8 day Carribean cruise. One of us will be a toddler, turning 19 months during the trip. I'm sort of freaking out about cruising with a toddler. Calm me down. I know it's possible. I know many people do it, and do it again. We're sort of cruise newbies and are at a loss as to what to expect and how to plan. Tom and I once did a weekend cruise, but this will be our first cruise with kids, and especially a cruise with a toddler. We've ... [ Read More ]
