Packing the cable box, modem and remote controls made this month’s big move a bit easier. We had maybe a million boxes, all filled with clothes, knick-knacks, kitchenware and our Comcast equipment. Comcast Movers Edge allowed me to bring our equipment with us to the new home!
Our account seamlessly transferred to the new address. Our Xfinity services, including our recent fave, StreamPix headed to the new home without delay or problem. I scheduled, quite easily I must say, to have a technician arrive the day before the moving trucks were arriving. I handed the technician the box and he got to work setting it all up for me. It was fantastic.
Comcast Movers Edge has gotten it right providing concierge like service to their customers who move. The process can begin online at http://www.comcast.com/move-transfer.html where you will fill out a basic form to get started. You can also call 1-855-MOV-EDGE to coordinate the move.
Our technician, fitted with his little paper shoe booties, spent a number of hours at my home until everything was working precisely like I had requested.
It was a bit challenging as the previous owners apparently didn’t watch television in their living room or bedroom. Odd, right? The tech and a fellow coworker who came to help him, were smart and creative in getting the cable into our new home. The best part is that they kept all the stress of the technical configuration away from me and in their hands. I was so impressed. By that evening I was able to watch the Olympics in my new home – sitting on the floor of course!
