An elevator pitch. What’s that? In as few words as possible sell yourself/your product. It should leave the listener yearning to learn more. It must be concise and to the point, ridding the blah-blah we tend to elaborate. Over the next 31 days I’m participating in ProBlogger’s 31 Days to Build a Better Blog course through the ladies from SITS on BlogFrog. I look forward to finding ways to fine tune SmartyPantsMama.com to make it the very best for my fabulous readers.
So what’s SmartyPantsMama.com’s elevator pitch? Good question! I’ve had ‘becoming a Smart Mama one piece at a time’ as my tagline for some time. It’s my tagline, not my pitch. I’ve always liked it. I think the puzzle piece learning theme makes sense. But, again, what is my pitch? How do I answer the question, so what’s your blog about?
Here are my two stabs at it:
Pitch A: What is a Smart Mama? A mama who uses the best tools and techniques for parenting, entertainment and life. Be a Smart Mama and visit SmartyPants Mama.com!
Pitch B: Are you a Smart Mama? See what a Smart Mama eats, supports and uses. Be a Smart Mama at SmartyPantsMama.com!
Which do you like more? Why? How can I tweak it?
Then there’s the long pitch. This is the one I give to a different audience, for example, PR agencies.
A Smart Mama knows the best tools and techniques for parenting, entertainment and life. Do you know something that Smart Mama should know? Share and allow Smart Mama’s vast experience in life and motherhood provide an accurate sponsorship of your product, cause or event.
Again, what do you think? Is it too wordy? Do I get to the point? Would the audience understand what I do?
Looking forward to learning from each of you!

I think your longer pitch is great and calls the reader to action! Definitely not too wordy.
Good luck in the challenge! I can't wait to see what else you come up with!
