Updated 9/5/10 due to product availability updates.

It arrived around 3 PM. I had shown her pictures and read her information all about the new MobiGoTouch Learning System
that was to be delivered that day. She was ecstatic! She tore into the box like it was the first gift on Christmas!

Her expectations were met! She sat there for the next hour (I made her stop for dinner,) playing the MobiGoTouch Learning System! The default game cartridge, Touch & Learn Game Pack, includes 6 games that entertain and educate. This handheld device seemed to be the right fit for her!

The following day, we ventured on a 4 hour trip to DisneyWorld.  We certainly packed the MobiGoTouch Learning System, knowing that it could potentially help the “Are we there yet?” whines! Within minutes into the trip, she wanted her “computer!” I couldn’t say no. She was essentially saying, “Mom, can I be entertained by a new learning activity that will help me with word building, number sense, keyboard skills and more?” How could a mother say no?

The MobiGoTouch Learning System required NO training.  Professionally, I have spent years training/teaching the use of technology, both software and hardware, to children and adults.  Yet, my daughter, 3 ½ years old, took the MobiGoTouch Learning System and within seconds figured out how to turn it on and start a game.  The audio directions are child, and adult, friendly.

I know that there are many gaming systems, educational or just entertaining, big or little, expensive or affordable, out there.  I haven’t seen them all, and certainly haven’t tried them all.  What I do know is that the MobiGoTouch Learning System is both affordable ($50,) educational and little!  Really, to me, it’s exactly what my daughter and I’m sure your preschooler through age 7 would love!

The MobiGoTouch Learning Systemuses 4 AA batteries or can be run through an AC adapter (not included.) There is a no battery life display, so keep a spare set of batteries with you on the go.

This gaming system just first became available at Toys R Us!  A variety of games for the MobiGoTouch Learning System, from Toy Story 3 to Dora the Explorer, will be sold are now sold everywhere from Target to Amazon along with the system.

Disclaimer: I was given a MobiGo by VTech for my review. I was allowed to keep the product, but the opinion I am sharing remains my own.
