I don’t typically list CPSC recalls on Fridays but 2 items deal directly with 4th of July fireworks so I wanted to be sure everyone was aware before they make their way to the BBQs and parties!

Hazard: The parachutes can become entangled in overhead power lines causing a shock hazard to users and bystanders.
Description: The recalled Oh Chute Parachute with streamers is a firework item with a light blue cylinder with white clouds. The model name is printed in triplicate on the front of the tube and FOA #2085 is on the lower back of the tube. This item is sold separately or in a box of four.

Hazard: The cribs could fail to meet a federal safety standard for crib dimensions. When the mattress support is in the middle setting, the space between the mattress and the crib could be too wide, posing an entrapment hazard to infants.
Description: This recall involves the full size 2nd Nature Built to Grow cribs, model number 353-14-220. Model and serial numbers are located on the headboard. The crib is natural maple in color. Only the following serial numbers are included in the recall: 353-14-220-L-01, 353-14-220-L-02, 353-14-220-L-03, 353-14-220-L-04, 353-14-220-L-05, 353-14-220-L-06, 353-14-220-L-07, 353-14-220-L-08, 353-14-220-L-101, and 353-14-220-L-103. Oh, technology is my friend, it is my friend, it is my friend. If I keep repeating that will I eventually start believing it???!!!
I currently am without both my computers!!!! I have a desktop – an oldie but a goodie – that I use for most of my blogging, ebaying and other things. I also have a laptop that my husband got me a few days after my knee surgery this spring. Well, as of yesterday both essentially are “sick”! The laptop is at the manufacturer getting repaired for the SECOND time and the desktop is slow as a turtle and won’t let me login to the sites I need to access (blogger, eBay, facebook..). Right now I’m using my husband’s work laptop to quickly put together my Tuesday posting before I’m out of a computer all day.
